Background
Efficiency Nova Scotia (ENS) is the province’s efficiency utility. It is funded by the energy utility and by taxpayers. ENS is tasked with delivering energy efficiency programming and rebates for individuals and companies in the province.
Challenge
Each year, ENS recognizes five individuals or businesses for their achievements and work in energy efficiency at the Bright Business Awards. Energy efficiency projects are typically complex and multi-faceted. They also often require a combination of technical expertise, financial analysis, and strategic planning to ensure their successful implementation. In order to provide the audience with a background on the accomplishments of each winner efficiently, we developed a series of videos to set the scene for gala attendees.
Solution
Before arriving in Nova Scotia to shoot, we used telephone pre-interviews so that we could begin forming the stories, and understand what B-roll footage we would require. The videos delivered an emotional punch at the awards show and were being rolled out on social media to raise further awareness about energy efficiency.
