Background
The London Waldorf School is a part of a network of private schools that follow a pedagogy developed by Rudolf Steiner in 1919. The Waldorf system strives to develop pupils' intellectual, artistic, and practical skills in an integrated and holistic manner.
Challenge
In a discovery meeting with the school’s marketing department we learned that the school was experiencing high attrition rates in Grades 5 through 8. Parents sometimes perceive the academic curriculum to be insufficiently rigorous to prepare students for high school success.
Solution
We worked with the school to identify an alumnus who had gone on to further academic success and is currently studying law, Peter Dalglish. We conducted a pre-interview with Peter to understand his Waldorf experience.That interview informed a script which Peter read as the narrator of the video. Filming took place over three days, in London and Toronto.
